Austin Powers is the titular character of the 1997-2002 comedy film series of the same name, starring Mike Myers. Austin Powers is a flamboyant and egotistical British spy who was frozen in time during the Cold War era before being awoken in the 1990s to combat new threats to world peace. Along with his catchphrases and outrageous costumes, Powers is characterized by his over-the-top antics and an array of gadgets, which he uses for comedic effect in his missions. Throughout the series' three films, Austin Powers faces various villains played by actors such as Robert Wagner and Michael Caine while also grappling with personal issues, including a strained relationship with his son, a penchant for breaking fourth wall, and attempts to seduce almost every female character he meets.
